What is PSIM?

PSIM stands for Physical Security Information Management — a software category that integrates and manages multiple, otherwise-disconnected security systems through one interface, correlating their data into a single operational picture.

A PSIM platform doesn’t replace the security systems you already run. It connects them — pulling events, alarms and telemetry from CCTV, access control, fire, intrusion, perimeter, analytics and IoT into one place, then turning that flood of raw signals into verified, prioritized incidents with a guided response attached.

A VMS manages video. An operation manages everything.

A Video Management System is excellent at what it’s built for — recording, viewing and managing camera streams. The ceiling appears the moment your operation depends on more than video, and on more than one site.

Great for cameras. Not built to run a control room.

A VMS sees the world through cameras. Access control, fire panels, intrusion sensors, perimeter detection and IoT live outside it — in their own portals, with their own alarms, on their own screens.
